The Kalamazoo area has a lot of local dining options. If you would like to submit a suggestion for an addition to our list or submit additional information regarding these restaurants, please use our contact us page. This information was submitted by individuals at meetings and online. This is not an endorsement of any restaurant on the list, and we highly encourage you to do your due diligence in ensuring practices haven't changed and each restaurant can meet your individual needs.
Kalamazoo area restaurants:
Anna’s House - GF Menu, knowledgeable
Bilbo's Pizza - GF Pizza - questionable cross contamination practices
Bimbo’s Pizza - GF pizza - questionable cross contamination practices
Brann’s - GF menu but cross contamination is a concern
Comensoli’s - $$$ very good, GF pasta, dedicated kitchen space
Core Life Eatery - changes made in 2020 with gluten added to menu - unknown safety
Crow’s Nest - lots of GF options, no bread
Culver’s - has GF bun, no fries
East Egg - Be very clear, cross contamination is an issue
Erbelli’s - GF pizza & sandwiches (unsure of cross contamination practices)
Food Dance - very accommodating to special diets
Four Roses - in Plainwell (no info available)
Hopcat - GF bun newly available
Hunan Garden - gf soy sauce; can accommodate; knowledgeable
Latitude 42 - GF labeled on menu, GF bun
Martell’s - ask server; can accommodate; be clear with server
Nick’s Gyro’s - no bread, salad
Oakwood Bistro - Bread/pizza/etc come from shared bakeries
Old Dog Tavern - accommodating
Old Goat Tavern - ingredients on menu, easy to order, No bun, No fries
Rustica - $$$ very accommodating
Saffron - can accommodate
Shawarma King - call to ask ahead; reported that only one staff is knowledgeable
Studio Grill`- no gf menu; can accommodate & is knowledgeable
Taco Bob’s - ask lots of questions and be wary of cross contamination (NO nacho cheese sauce, salsas, flour tortillas or housemade chips)
Tap House - gf menu; gf beer; very knowledgeable; gf buns
The Union - GF is labeled on menu
Zazio’s - GF menu
Zooroona - accommodating
Kalamazoo area chain restaurants:
Carabba’s - has gf menu; be clear as staff may need assistance
Chipotle - ask for fresh containers of food; house-made chips are no longer gf
Craftman Chop Co - gf noted on menu; ask staff lots of questions
Five Guys - no gf bun; fryer is dedicated; does well at preventing cc if you ask
Moe’s - Need to ask for fresh ingredients/wash hands/new gloves
Outback steakhouse - has gf menu; no dedicated fryer; be clear with staff as they may need assistance
Red Robin - manager usually comes out; gf menu; gf buns; dedicated fryer; food served on color-coded baskets w/gf toothpicks

Where is it? Was the staff educated about celiac/gluten intolerance? Did they have a separate menu for gluten-free, or an allergen specific menu? How was the food? How much did it cost? Were there a lot of options?
